Stagecast Creator 2 Evaluation Version
To get a feel for what is like to create your own games and simulations,
download this free trial software. The installation includes:
- an evaluation copy of Stagecast Creator™,
which lets you create a limited number of characters and rules
- Stagecast Player™
The Creator Evaluation
Version currently posted will expire 120 days after you install the software. After it expires, you will still be able to run Stagecast Player and Web Player to play existing sims. But you will no longer be able to create new sims.
The complete product,
including the Tutorial, the Creator's Guide, the Teacher's Guide, and a
library of Sample Sims, Clip Art and Clip Sims, is available for
purchase.
Evaluation versions are available for Windows, Macintosh, and Unix.

Before you download:
- Do NOT install this evaluation software if you are using a purchased copy of Stagecast Creator.
- If you have an older version of Stagecast Creator Eval, rename or delete the Stagecast folder in your Program Files directory. If you plan to delete the old Stagecast folder, be sure first to rescue your personal files, including files in "My Sims," "My Backgrounds," "My Pictures," and "My Sounds," or "My Worlds" and "My Art".
To download:
- Click the Download Creator for Windows link on the left. The Creator Eval Setup program is a 51 MB file, which will take about 12 minutes to download over broadband.
- Specify the location in which you want to save the installer, which is named SetupCreatorEval.exe. Remember where you saved it.
To install after you download:
- We suggest you exit other applications.
- Double-click on the file named SetupCreatorEval.exe
to install the Stagecast Creator Evaluation Version.
- It is very important that you install Creator Eval in the default location suggested by the installer.
After you install:
- If you want to view sims in a web browser, restart your computer after installing.
- If your PC does not have a recent version of Java installed, you may not be able to start Creator Eval. You can update to the latest version of Java by visiting the Java website and installing Sun's Windows Java installer.
- Double click the Stagecast Creator shortcut on the Windows desktop to try Creator Eval. Select "learn Creator" to go through the interactive tutorial.

Creator Evaluation software and the tutorial.
