Users who have an environment which includes some Macintosh computers
which don't meet the minimum requirements needed to run
Stagecast Creator may consider using the Apple software formerly known as "Cocoa" in conjunction with Creator. Read the information below and choose the appropriate files to download.
Please note that Apple, having licensed the technology to Stagecast, does not support the Cocoa that you can download here. Apple now uses their trademark Cocoa to designate an unrelated technology used by software engineers to develop general applications for Mac OS X. Stagecast, whose business is to develop, market, and support Stagecast Creator and related products, does not support Cocoa either.
Cocoa is similar to Creator but lacks many of the features of Creator that you would need to develop sophisticated games and simulations. If you run into the limits of Cocoa, you can always purchase Stagecast Creator, import the Cocoa world as explained in the Cocoa ReadMe that comes with Creator, and use the new features to enhance your world.
The main advantage of Cocoa is that it runs on color Macintoshes with as little as 4MB of available RAM and System 7.1 or later. There are versions for 68k Macs and PPC Macs, and documentation to help
get you going. You can also download just the plugin to try before getting the full program. You can download from any of the sites listed below.
