Thunder Star is both a side scrolling space shooter and a 3D space shooter. The characters were made in Nendo. I made several crude 3D models and turned them into sprites.
Use the up and down arrow keys to move in the 2D mode. Use the space bar to shoot your enemies. Whatever you do, don't hold down the space bar. Sure it will give you rapid fire, but you may lose the blaster sound, and after awhile the game will crash. Each of the seven levels has many enemies so stay alert. After each level, you'll go to a bonus level where you can regain the health you lost in the previous level or you may add points to your score. There are also bad icons that you shouldn't shoot. If you shoot a skull icon, you lose 2 health points and 100 points. You have 200 ticks in each bonus level. Once there is no more time, you're transported into another level. The game is easy to beat if you use your head. However the name of the game isn't survival, it's getting a ton of points. Try to rack up as high of a score as you possibly can. This game requires a lot of RAM and CPU power. The game usually runs fine unless if you don't follow the Bonus level instructions in the game, or if you get really trigger happy, and keep your finger on the space bar throughout the entire game. The game has a tendancy to freeze or get messed up. If you have any problems, please contact me.
Have fun!
